Dr. Sherri R. Edelman, Clinical Psychologist and Licensed Counselor
Dr. Sherri Edelman has over 20 years of experience in the fields of psychotherapy and counseling, training and consultation, seminar and workshop presentation, education, health and wellness, and life and career coaching. She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine; dual Master’s degrees from Hahnemann University in Group Psychotherapy and Organizational Groups; and Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Temple University. Dr. Edelman is a Pennsylvania Licensed Professional Counselor, and has worked in independent psychotherapy practice, training, residential and community mental health, specialty care (domestic violence and abuse), academia, and vocational and cognitive rehabilitation. Her clinical and coaching work includes experience with children, adolescents and adults, as well as couples, families and groups. Dr. Edelman has had several media appearances, including repeat appearances on the NBC Today Show in New York. She was an Expert on three episodes of Surviving Motherhood on The Learning Channel working with families in crisis, has been a repeat guest psychologist on Fox Good Day Philadelphia discussing a variety of family and relationship topics, as well as repeat appearances as an expert on ABC and CBS prime time network news. She has been a guest on ABC Sunday Live, a local morning news program, Court TV, and a repeat guest on CN8’s It’s Your Call with Lynn Doyle, and as well as a member of panel discussions on relationships, conflict and family crises. Dr. Edelman has also been the subject of many print interviews, including Philadelphia Magazine and Philadelphia Style magazine, and served as a psychology spokesperson for IKEA as part of their “Free your Independence” local Philadelphia campaign. She has been a contributing writer to newsletters, print publications and journals on a variety of topics relating to psychology, relationships, stress, and health and wellness. In 2002, Dr. Edelman co-founded Triune Chiropractic, Counseling and Wellness in Philadelphia, PA, an Alternative & Complementary Health and Wellness Center providing education and drug-free treatment and services while promoting physical, emotional, and spiritual health and well-being, where she also has an Independent Psychotherapy and Coaching practice. She is Adjunct Faculty at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in their Master’s program for Clinical and Health Psychology, and a workshop and seminar presenter in areas such as communication, stress management, relationships, assertiveness, complementary and alternative medicine, and wellness.
